Work for Advocates for Youth

If you’re interested in reproductive health issues, sex education, and helping youth stay healthy and informed, you might want to apply for a job with Advocates for Youth. Several different jobs are open for interested activists ages 14 to 24, and they each feature a wide variety of benefits—including free activist training, the development of essential leadership skills, and networking with other likeminded individuals. This is exactly the kind of background experience that will come in handy for working in the political sector, as well as in fields such as healthcare and education.

Jobs available with the organization include places on the Campus Organizing Team, Peer Educators, and other areas. Some duties might include organizing activist events, writing blog posts, fundraising, developing and distributing educational materials, or assisting with training. Work may include on the ground activism or online work, or both. Topics can include sexual health, reproduction, political issues, HIV and AIDS education, and many other issues.

Each position has a different deadline date, from May 9 to May 15, so applicants will need to check the specifics and needs of each program prior to applying.
